Group Show – ‘John Howard Print Studios’ – Opens in St. Ives on Saturday 28th March

I will be exhibiting new work, along side some other very talented printmakers, as part of The John Howard Print Studios Group Exhibition. The exhibition will be held deep in the heart of St. Ives at The Crypt Gallery which is part of The Society of St. Ives Artists.

The show opens this Saturday 28th March and runs until Friday 10th April. The Private View will take place over Easter weekend on Saturday 4th April 3pm – 6pm. Light refreshments will be available. I hope to see some of you there.

Observing and recording the everyday, the landscape changing constantly, my journeys through each day present new encounters for me to note and capture. My work represents an appreciation and acceptance of the transient nature of our world. With a beauty that lies in imperfection; impermanence; and an appreciation of the simple integrity of natural objects and processes.

‘Caryl’s work focuses on observing and recording the smallest insignificant details that emanate from shadows and refraction of the sunlight. Images of neglected and once abandoned buildings, traces of the layers of history that echo a universal theme of transience, absence and presence.
