Why I wrote this book
I originally wrote it for my kids. I guess I wanted to show them that not all kids in the world had it as easy as they did. But then I realized that the book could do some real good by raising money for the national charity, Centrepoint, which does fantastic work for homeless youngsters.
BOOK WRITTEN TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CENTREPOINT
Just to let you know that my first work of fiction (which I wrote over 3 years ago)
will be launched in paperback on 10 September.
I will be signing advance copies at:
on Saturday 27 August from 12.00 – 3.00pm.
‘Sleeping with the Blackbirds’ has been written for children in the 14 and
upwards age group. And my royalty is going directly to Centrepoint – the
national charity for homeless youngsters. This means that a minimum of £1 per
copy sold will go to the charity. In many instances, this figure will be greater
(depending on trade discounts). So please pass this email on in order to raise
funds for a very deserving cause.
If you can’t make the book launch, here are the details of the book:
Penpress Publishing ISBN no. 978-1-78003-013-5.
The book can be ordered from any high street bookseller or online retailer,
including Amazon (retail price £6.99) after September 10.
At least £1.00 per copy sold is paid to Centrepoint Soho, a registered charity for homeless young people. Registered charity no. 292411.
